55/45 Indica Hybrid
A timeless classic, the Gelato strain is one of the most famous names in all of the cannabis community. This rare, perfectly balanced hybrid was created by crossing two insanely delicious strains. Chief among them is Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and the Sunset Sherbert strains. It’s no wonder that this beauty is so delicious and enjoyable!
Gelato is an incredibly potent strain and possesses an enjoyable high. In fact, it has been back-crossed numerous times, and today it has a large number of children as well. In particular, one phenotype of the original Gelato weed strain is the Larry Bird, which has been named after the famous NBA player.
20% THC – All Day Strain
While there are many evenly balanced strains present in the market, few are as potent or famous as Gelato. The strain’s THC content is extremely high and rarely ever goes below the 20% to 25% range. This strength makes Gelato a perfect candidate for cross-breeding with many different types of cannabis.
Even though Gelato contains almost equal amounts of both Indica and Sativa contents, the effects lean more towards the Indica side.
The high begins quickly and hits the user with all that it’s got, sometimes even before they’ve had a chance to exhale. A heavy head rush can be experienced at the very beginning, distorting perceptions and throwing the user off guard.
In fact, if you are not prepared for something like this, it may well cause paranoia and anxiety!
With that being said, Gelato is one of those strains which we do not recommended for beginners. The effects are simply too heavy and too strong.
This can often be a bit too much for inexperienced users to handle and so we highly recommend exercising caution for the newer users.
Common Usage
Medically speaking, Gelato is a useful strain for treating conditions such as spasms, chronic pain, inflammation, fatigue, headaches or migraines, depression and even PTSD. Would you like a cone or a cup with that?
